Bring your image to the GDN Half Page size: exactly 300×600 pixels. With extreme aspect ratios, fit mode with a blurred background often gives the better result.

The 300×600 format at a glance

The Half-Page format (300×600) is a tall, narrow banner with a very large ad area. It gets a lot of attention and long view times and is usually placed in the sidebar.

What it's good for

  • Tall sidebar ads with plenty of room
  • Storytelling ads with several visual layers
  • Campaigns that aim for maximum visibility

Common mistakes

  • Letting the large area look empty with too little content
  • Squeezing a landscape image into the tall format
  • Putting the call to action only at the very bottom

How it works

  1. 1 Drag your image into the box or choose it: JPG, PNG, WebP and other common formats.
  2. 2 Move and resize the frame until the crop fits. The aspect ratio 1:2 is fixed, and “Auto-center” finds the subject on its own.
  3. 3 Choose the file format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and the quality if needed.
  4. 4 Download the image at exactly 300×600 pixels, ready to upload.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the Half-Page ad banner?

The recommended size is 300×600 pixels with an aspect ratio of 1:2. Your image is downloaded at exactly this size.

Will my image be distorted?

No. The aspect ratio is fixed, you only choose the crop. If your subject doesn't fit the format at all, “Fit” places the whole image inside and fills the edges with a blurred version of the image.

Do location and camera data stay in the image?

No. When saving, metadata such as EXIF, GPS location and camera info is removed automatically. That protects you when you share images publicly.

Are my images uploaded?

No. With this tool, your image never leaves your device.

Is the tool free?

Yes, with no sign-up, no installation and no watermark from us.
