Crop for Etsy listing image
Etsy recommends at least 2000 pixels on the shortest side. A square crop at 2000×2000 pixels looks clean everywhere.

The 2000×2000 format at a glance
The Etsy listing image is square and should be high resolution (2000×2000 is ideal). The first image decides the click and appears as the preview in search and in your shop.
What it's good for
- The first listing image with your strongest shot
- Detail, context and size images for the gallery
- A consistent shop look across all products
Common mistakes
- Choosing a weak shot as the first image
- Placing important details near the edge, where the preview crops
- A resolution that is too low and looks blurry when zoomed
How it works
- 1 Drag your image into the box or choose it: JPG, PNG, WebP and other common formats.
- 2 Move and resize the frame until the crop fits. The aspect ratio 1:1 is fixed, and “Auto-center” finds the subject on its own.
- 3 Choose the file format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and the quality if needed.
- 4 Download the image at exactly 2000×2000 pixels, ready to upload.
Frequently asked questions
What size is the Etsy Listing Image?
The recommended size is 2000×2000 pixels with an aspect ratio of 1:1. Your image is downloaded at exactly this size.
Will my image be distorted?
No. The aspect ratio is fixed, you only choose the crop. If your subject doesn't fit the format at all, “Fit” places the whole image inside and fills the edges with a blurred version of the image.
Do location and camera data stay in the image?
No. When saving, metadata such as EXIF, GPS location and camera info is removed automatically. That protects you when you share images publicly.
Are my images uploaded?
No. With this tool, your image never leaves your device.
Is the tool free?
