Crop for Amazon product image

Amazon recommends square product images at 2000×2000 pixels, which makes the zoom work best. Crop your image to exactly 1:1. (Note: the main image also needs a pure white background.)

On your phone, “Download” opens the share menu. Tap “Save Image” to put the image straight into your Photos.

The 2000×2000 format at a glance

The Amazon product image should be square and at least 1600 pixels. 2000×2000 is the safe choice so that zoom works. According to Amazon, the main image needs a pure white background.

What it's good for

  • Main images with the cut-out product on white
  • Extra images with detail, size and in-use views
  • Consistent product lines in the same square size

Common mistakes

  • Staying below 1600 pixels, so zoom doesn't work
  • Adding logos, watermarks or text to the main image
  • Making the product too small instead of letting it almost fill the image

How it works

  1. 1 Drag your image into the box or choose it: JPG, PNG, WebP and other common formats.
  2. 2 Move and resize the frame until the crop fits. The aspect ratio 1:1 is fixed, and “Auto-center” finds the subject on its own.
  3. 3 Choose the file format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and the quality if needed.
  4. 4 Download the image at exactly 2000×2000 pixels, ready to upload.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the Amazon Product Image?

The recommended size is 2000×2000 pixels with an aspect ratio of 1:1. Your image is downloaded at exactly this size.

Will my image be distorted?

No. The aspect ratio is fixed, you only choose the crop. If your subject doesn't fit the format at all, “Fit” places the whole image inside and fills the edges with a blurred version of the image.

Do location and camera data stay in the image?

No. When saving, metadata such as EXIF, GPS location and camera info is removed automatically. That protects you when you share images publicly.

Are my images uploaded?

No. With this tool, your image never leaves your device.

Is the tool free?

Yes, with no sign-up, no installation and no watermark from us.
