How it works
- 1 Upload your stock list as Excel or CSV, with location and description.
- 2 The location is printed large and encoded as Code 128, with the item below and, if you like, the item number.
- 3 Choose the size: cards with crop marks, a label sheet or a label printer.
- 4 Print at actual size and scan the labels with the Live Barcode Scanner when putting stock away.
How the tool works
What it does
Print labels for shelves, bins and storage locations: the location in large type, with the item and the location as a barcode below.
How it's built
Columns are detected, and each location is checked before it is encoded as Code 128. Text and code are vector, so they stay sharp even on large labels.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. With this tool your file never leaves your device.
What size works for shelf labels?
For shelves, 105 × 37 mm is often enough, 16 to an A4 sheet. For locations that need to be read from a few metres away, use 105 × 74 mm, eight per A4. The barcode is Code 128 and can be scanned with the Live Barcode Scanner when putting stock away.
Are there limits on file size or page count?
The main limit is your device, because that is where the work happens. Files up to 100 MB work reliably. With very large files, an older smartphone needs a little patience.
Is the tool free?
Yes. All tools on Gatefrog are free to use, with no sign-up, no installation and no watermark from us.
